I love that someone notified me today about a recently-discovered 1,000-pound giant squid by saying:
"You know I can't resist sending you stories about giant creatures of the deep."
And YOU know I can't resist reading about them. Seriously. I still can't stop looking at that thing, no matter how much it freaks me out.

and isn't it just slightly sad that the record-breaking largest squid EVER is now dead? It's like, look - it so amazing, it's like nothing we've ever seen before - wow! let's KILL it!
